Fees & Insurance

Therapy is a really good investment.
Divorce, stress-induced medical issues, inpatient hospitalization, rehab, unemployment - these are expensive! When considering therapy, consider the alternatives. Suddenly, therapy becomes a much more reasonable way to solve problems and get relief from the pressures in life. Investing in therapy will often result in significant life changes - changes that can help you avoid emotional crises in the future, help you maintain peace and harmony in your home, and help you build stronger relationships that can weather any storm.

I strive to keep my fees as reasonable as possible. The average 50-minute session fee for a licensed therapist can range anywhere from $120/session to over $200/session. I am not the most costly provider out there, nor am I the cheapest. I believe my fees are a good value, given my 15+ years of clinical experience as a marriage and family therapist. Since my fees change from time to time, please call me to inquire about my current rates. Once you are an established client, phone consultations are also available on a pro-rated basis.

Insurance
I accept many insurance plans and am considered an "out-of-network" provider. I provide receipts to many of my clients on a monthly basis and my clients submit those receipts directly to their insurance companies for immediate reimbursement. You will receive a portion of your original investment back from your insurance company.

Due to the wide variety of medical plans available, my services may or may not be covered under your particular health insurance plan. Please contact your mental health administrator to determine the specifics of your coverage. You may want to ask some of the following questions to determine your level of coverage:

  • Can I get reimbursed for going to the therapist of my choice?
  • What amount will I be reimbursed (per session)?
  • Do I have a mental health deductible and has it been met for this calendar year?
  • Is there a maximum number of sessions allowed per year?
  • How do I go about submitting my claim?

Payment
Cash or check are both acceptable forms of payment for in-person sessions.

Cancellation Policy
If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the full cost of the session.
